Mosteiro dos Jerónimos
The first night we were in town, we walked down the hill to a restaurant named Sea Me, which turned out to be a spectacular dining experience. It's like going to a fish market. You choose the freshest local fish, which you purchase by the kilo and then your dinner is prepared for you while you wait. If you're in Lisbon, don't miss it!
Lisbon is a very hip and young city.
Lisbon is built on steep hills and one is either going up or down.
We are just back from Lisbon where we have spent several days. Iza kindly loaned us her apartment. It had this splendid view of the Tejo River, which opens out to the Atlantic. The ships come and go. The bridge is reminiscent of the Golden Gate and in fact the whole city reminds us very much of San Francisco. I'll post some more images of Lisbon in the following days.
