Yesterday we took a drive north up the coast from Estoril. We stopped at a beautiful palace and garden called Monserrate, created by "the wealthiest Englishman of his time" in 1793. The faux Moorish palace you see in this photo wasn't built until 1856 by another Brit. This was his summer place. Not bad!
Today we drive south to the Algarve where we've rented a place on the very southern tip of the country in a town called Tavira. We just found out there is no internet in the house so daily posts become a bigger challenge. I still hope to keep up.
